I'm back?

After years, I find I've fallen into fandom again. It's weird reading fic again. Being obsessed with a show and a pairing. Scouring the internets for anything having to do with a single character. It's like remembering high school, only my memories of fandom are fond. I honestly thought I was unable to be a fan any longer, that my attention couldn't be focused as it was years ago. I'm thrilled to find I was wrong.

No idea how long this will last but I'm happy to be back.

For any of my friends that are still reading this journal, I'm doing just fine. Life is as life usually is. Working, friends. No significant life events, no major issues. Life is good.

I may end up using this journal more, likely for fandom stuff. My comments on life tend to me <140 characters and better suited for twitter.

Hope you all are well and have been well. I've missed you all and this life.

I recently caught the series on Netflix and started crushing like a silly ol' fangirl. Now I'm hunting down fics like a crazy person and watching clips on YouTube over and over again.

How's it going? It is me or does LJ suck and is down all the damned time?

oh, nice choice! i love them like burning. i'll have to see if i can remember any good fic. i think i read a few but i haven't been reading anything in ages.

lj sucks balls. no one's really around and it's under attach by russian hackers. i think i'm moving to dreamwidth. maybe it'll get me to start posting again.

Yeah, I read about that on the twitters but damn, how long does it take to recover from a DDoS? I don't think I signed up for a dreamwidth but I need to. I'm tired of clicking that I'm old enough to read smut when I read fics posted there.

The problem is that the DDOS keeps coming in waves from different botnets, so as soon as they identify and block one set, another shows up.

Happy to see you on the ljs again! I straddle DW and LJ these days, which is pretty easy to do (post to dw and mirror it to lj).

Yeah, I think I'm going to move to DW for primary. I need to move my friends over there. Import didn't seem to do that.

The good part about joining the fandom way late is that the whole end of CoE wasn't a surprise. I can go into it without my hopes being up. I was bummed but didn't take it a hard as fandom seemed to. Plus, I have a lot of experience with loving fandom things that get taken away from me.

hee. well i had a hysterectomy but i'm mostly recovered from that and my friend jenn and i started a website for an actual non-fake band and funny story, i used some of their song names for that site you and i did a while ago so that kinda brings things full circle in a way. the kid's doing good, middle school, soccer, piano, diabetes, the usual. how's about you?
